Your new role
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the jobholder will lead the operations team epassing Forklift Truck Drivers, Shunters and Stock Control staff and will take responsibility for the delivery of a first-class warehousing service to our customers. P lanning, organising, and leading the warehouse operations team. O verseeing the operation from goods-in, picking, to loading and dispatch. Prioritising workload and ensuring the optimal deployment of space, equipment, and resources. Maintaining warehousing discipline. Liaising with customers, transport colleagues on site and with other depots within thepany. Preparation for all internal and external audits
What you'll need to succeed
A current counterbalance FLT licence is desirable but not essential. Applicants must have experience in a logistics-related operation and demonstrate an understanding of relevant warehouse management systems such as SAP, Dispatcher, and the like, to a busy multi-user function. The ideal candidate will apply personal drive, energy andmitment as well as demonstrating the appropriate range ofmunication and leadership skills necessary to lead a highly motivated and effective team.
What you'll get in return
This is a Friday - Sunday position working on a 29 hour contract. The working hours are Friday 0600-1800, Saturday and Sunday 0600-1600. The salary is £24,850 and reasonable flexibility is expected in order to meet the requirements of the business, particularly at peak operational periods.
