Job Summary
TDA offers an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer to support the ongoing safe and efficient delivery of projects across the Sellafield site. The successful candidate will act as the TDA stakeholder interface for the Retrievals East River Project, ensuring that quality assurance activities are effectively carried out.
Responsibilities
* Produce, review and endorse quality plans and inspection and test plans; undertake associated compliance verification activities.
* Liaise with Quality Control and ICG to verify processes and documentation such as ITPs and weld procedures.
* Ensure that the quality standards of the TDA Project are consistently met; raise authorised project documentation where this is not the case.
* Review and update the IMS as required.
* Maintain package status and progress reporting; raise issues and liaise with the project and client QA/QC teams.
* Support internal and external audits by tracking actions arising, improving systems and reducing non‑compliances.
* Advise project purchasing staff on vendor competence so that QA matters are considered when selecting vendors.
* Initiate Quality Grade Risk Assessment meetings.
Qualifications
* Degree (2:2 minimum) in a relevant discipline or professional qualification (e.g. CQI Diploma Level 5).
* Relevant extensive quality assurance experience.
* Internal auditor experience.
* Professional body membership CQI or working towards membership.
* ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor certification.
