Janie lives independently in her own home and is well known in her community. Janie likes going for walks, dogs, visiting places of interest, quizzes and has a great memory for films and characters in them. Janie like spending time with friends and family. Janie can lack self-confidence and will need support in some social settings which she then really enjoys.
Ideally Janie needs you to
* Be bright, bubbly and energetic
* Support her with her health needs and to attend appointments
* Support Janie to maintain relationships with family and friends
* Support Janie to maintain her home
Essential for the role is that you demonstrate the following:
* Understand how to work in a person-centred way
* Understand all behaviour is communication
* Ability to motivate
* Flexible approach
* Excellent communication and good written skills
* Work on own initiative and as part of the team
Desirable
SVQ Level 2/3 in Social Care (or equivalent) or willing to work towards this.
