Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients.
This role is a new role which focuses on delivering medication via robotics so the candidate must be competent in working with IT and have a previous background in community pharmacy.
Duties
* Accurately dispense medications as prescribed by healthcare professionals, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
* Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications for patients, including compounding where necessary.
* Provide exceptional patient care by offering advice on medication usage, potential side effects, and answering any queries patients may have.
* Maintain accurate records of prescriptions and medication dispensed, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
* Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare staff to optimise patient outcomes through effective medication management.
* Monitor stock levels of medications and supplies, placing orders as needed to ensure availability.
Qualifications
* Previous experience as a pharmacy dispenser or technician is essential, with a solid understanding of pharmacy operations.
* Demonstrated knowledge of medication administration practices and patient care principles.
* Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and colleagues alike.
* A commitment to maintaining high standards of professionalism in all interactions within the pharmacy setting.
