Based: Southall
Rate: £15.50ph PAYE or £20ph umb
Start Date: 1st April 2026
Duration: Temporary for 4-6 weeks while recruiting
Hours: Full-time 35 hours per week Monday – Friday on-site
Our client is looking for a Helpline Advisor to provide high-quality helpline advice, information, practical support, and advocacy in relation to violence against women and girls (VAWG) experienced by Black and minoritised women and girls.
To work alongside the Helpline Coordinator and volunteers to ensure the service is trauma-informed, safe, and effective.
Synopsis of duties:
Support service users affected by VAWG through the helpline, ensuring trauma-informed and high-quality support
Carry out needs and risk assessments and ensure appropriate referrals and signposting
Respond to calls and email enquiries professionally, promptly, and effectively
Maintain accurate and timely records on the case management system
Support compliance with internal and external reporting requirements
Provide accurate information and data for reports and monitoring purposes
Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure joined-up support for service users
Build and maintain effective relationships with external partners and stakeholders
Refer service users to appropriate external services and monitor outcomes
Participate in training and continuous professional development
Ensure advice and support are inclusive and non-discriminatoryEssential Requirements:
Experience working with victim-survivors of domestic abuse and VAWG
Experience providing advice, advocacy, or casework to Black, minoritised, and migrant women across multiple channels in a fast-paced environment
Experience in building and maintaining partnerships with other agencies.
DBS dated within the last 12 months or on the update service
Fluent in Urdu, Hindi, or Punjabi
