Job Description:
Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organization in Bristol, is currently looking to recruit an Architect Surveyor for a permanent contract with a salary of £38,067 (pro-rata). This role is part-time.
Responsibilities:
* Partnerships teams are responsible for delivering discretionary services with local partners in regional offices.
* Their main duty is to advocate for care, conservation, and creative reuse to enhance quality of life.
* The work involves ongoing projects that require a range of skills, including advocacy, engagement, research, grant-giving, project management, capacity building, and conservation.
* As part of the regional teams, architects and surveyors advise on the repair and alteration of heritage assets and provide guidance on changes in historic landscapes, impacting conservation and community well-being.
* Requirements include a professional qualification in architecture or building surveying, current ARB registration or RICS membership, and accreditation in building conservation (AABC, RIBA SCA level, or RICS), or working towards these.
* Extensive experience in building repair and project management is essential.
* Good knowledge of English secular and ecclesiastical architecture across periods.
* Excellent understanding of building construction, repair, alteration, and adaptation methods.
* Ability to approach repair challenges practically and creatively.
* Knowledge of current construction industry regulations.
