East of England Community Health and Care NHS Trust (Cambridge) is seeking a Band 5 Qualified Children's Wellbeing Practitioner (CWP) for the East Cambridgeshire Mental Health Support Team based at The Princess of Wales Hospital.

Job responsibilities
* Develop and deliver evidence‑based interventions to children, young people, parents and carers in educational and community settings.
* Conduct holistic mental health assessments, including risk assessment and formulation.
* Provide support to schools and colleges, including Whole School Approach consultation.
* Facilitate early intervention for mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
* Escalate cases with higher risk or complex needs to specialist services.
* Maintain accurate documentation in line with health and education protocols.
* Participate in regular supervision, multidisciplinary meetings and audits.
* Engage in research, data collection and service improvement activities.
Person specification
Qualifications & training
* Successful completion of the CWP Training Course (Post Graduate Certificate/Diploma).
* Registration with the BPS or BABCP (registration in progress acceptable).
* Teaching qualification.
Experience
* Working with children and young people and their families.
* Working and liaising with a wide variety of agencies and stakeholders, including schools.
* Experience with social, emotional and/or behavioural difficulties.
* Experience with anxiety disorders and affective (mood) disorders.
* Delivery of therapeutic interventions such as CBT or solution‑focused brief therapy.
* Experience in a health care setting.
* Monitoring and recording outcome measures for children’s emotional wellbeing.
* Navigating complex social systems and environments, often with conflicting priorities or agendas.
* Experience with other vulnerable groups.
Knowledge & skills
* Ability to carry out 1:1 therapeutic mental health assessments and interventions with children and families.
* Ability to conduct group parenting programmes.
* Ability to work within educational settings to increase mental health awareness among staff.
* Skill in risk assessment and mitigation, including record‑keeping and communication of risk.

Salary: £32,073 to £39,043 a year (pro‑rata).
