This is a hybrid position where you will be working from our Head Office in Diss three days a week. As an Assistant Management Accountant you will support the Management Accounts Manager with the Group's management accounting processes and procedures. The principal aspects of the role are: Assisting in the preparation of the monthly profit and loss accounts and commentary for Support Office functions. Review nominal ledgers and process accounting transactions to support the preparation of monthly profit and loss accounts and balance sheet Continuous review of procedures to identify efficiencies and to implement continuous change via providing support to the finance team. Assisting the Management Accounts Manager in the control and reconciling of balance sheets and identifying and reporting on key movements in month and YTD Seeking continuous development and improvement in client service and processes. Key responsibilities and tasks include: Assisting in review of monthly P&L accounts for support office functions Preparing cost centre variance analysis, investigating, and explaining variances Supporting in preparation of annual budgets and forecasting Responsible for appropriate accounting including accruals and prepayments Assisting with the preparation of CVS Group balance sheets, ensuring reconciliations are complete and variances investigated Challenge existing processes and identify efficiencies, ensuring schedules are clear and concise Investigating discrepancies identified and ensuring all issues resolved on a timely basis Provide detailed analysis of key movements on a monthly basis Provide analysis as required for group P&L spend and identify risks to budget Provide support during the audit process to ensure the smooth and timely running of audit queries Any other ad-hoc projects as designated by the Management Accounts Manager Key skills required: Part qualified accountant or AAT Qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent); Intermediate Excel skills. Strong oral communication skills. Good organisational skills.
