You'll be responsible for supporting with the catering and hospitality at our Acorn House canteen (and other Yeo Valley sites as requested). You’ll help with food production, preparation and other front and back of house services as required, in line with our Health & Safety and Food Safety procedures.
Working 40 hours per week on a 7:30-15:30 shift pattern, with a requirement to work two weekends out of four.
1. Serving Yeo Valley staff with hot and cold food as required and in line with department procedures
2. Take responsibility for the preparation of hot and cold food using fresh ingredients and assist the chef with daily tasks within the kitchen
3. Ensuring all displays, counters and seating areas are presented to the highest standards
4. Front and back of house services as required food prep, kitchen porter duties, vending and snack replenishment
5. Completing daily and weekly tasks as directed and in accordance with Weekly and Daily procedures
6. Observing and complying with all procedures relating to cash handling and security /Till operating/cash handling

9. Catering & Cooking experience is essential - 3 years minimum continuous experience in a catering role
10. Food Safety Level 2
11. Allergy Awareness qualification
12. HACCP training
13. Experience of working within a catering environment with chefs
14. Experience working as a cook
15. Experience of menu planning and costing
Desirable:
16. Computer literate
