Hours: Bank - Casual Hours, includes weekend working.
Rate of Pay: £20.40 per hour plus 12.07% WTD
Responsible to: Physiotherapy Manager
Job Summary
You will assist with the clinical responsibilities pertaining to the everyday organisation and efficient running of the physiotherapy service, including in-patient on a weekend rota.
Key Responsibilities
• You will be responsible for assisting in prioritising patient referrals, allocating and organising the work of colleagues and assistant staff to meet service priorities on a daily basis.
• You will be responsible for organising and planning your own caseload to meet service and patient priorities.
• You will ensure the provision of a comprehensive physiotherapy service, ensuring that all treatments and interventions are of a consistently high standard, evidence informed and patient focused.
• You will adopt a flexible and participative approach to innovation and change and promote patient’s individuality and dignity at all times.
• You will be required to participate in evening, weekend and bank holiday working in conjunction with meeting the service needs of the Centre and hospital.
• You will be required to participate in CPD sessions/initiatives and in-service training programmes.
• You will be professionally and legally accountable for all aspects of your own work including the management of patients in your care.
Person Specification
The following specification represents the range of skills, abilities, and experiences etc. relevant to the position. Applicants are expected to meet the attributes that have been identified as essential.
Essential
* Qualified to a minimum degree level in Physiotherapy (BSc Physiotherapy).
* MCSP or equivalent.
* Health Care Professions Council (HCPC) registered
* Relevant experience in treating patients withing outpatient, inpatient and pre-assessment settings.
* Excellent communication skills, communicating with both internal and external stakeholders.
* Advanced, updated CPD evidence.
* Computer literate in terms of completing on-line reports and maintaining effective communication via letters and e-mail.
* Able to perform advanced, skilled physiotherapeutic assessment of patients.
* To assess, develop and implement physiotherapy treatment for specialist caseload.
