Seven Resourcing are looking for a temporary Housing Options Advisor to work in North Northamptonshire. This position is initially for a period of 6 months and is paying up to £35.00 per hour (paid to you via an umbrella company).
The role:
We are looking for officers to provide advice and assistance to customers on housing options in order to prevent and relieve homelessness and to minimise housing need.
Key Responsibilities:
To find solutions to customers’ housing problems tailored to their individual needs.
To provide advice and assistance to housing applicants using Keyways, the Council’s choice based allocations scheme.
To carry out investigations and assess homelessness applications in accordance with Part VII of the Housing Act 1996 (as amended).
Answering and dealing with incoming calls from the triage line
Monitoring the email inbox and dealing with enquiries
Initial triaging of cases to assess if any duties owed
Completion of the full housing assessment
Creation and Monitoring of Personalised Housing Plans
Writing Section 184 Letters
Prevention and Relief – securing housing solutions for homelessness and threatened with homelessness households
Applicant Requirements:
* Qualifications: N/A.
* Experience: 2+ years working within a similar role.
* Compliance: Current DBS check and references covering the last 3 years.
* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
* Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
