Job Description: In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders such as site engineering, plant maintenance, and shipyard teams, alongside external contractors and specialists. You will manage full asset lifecycles through validation, modification control, and criticality assessment. Through review, surveillance, and audit, you will ensure engineering data, assumptions, and methodologies are validated. You will support functional design, qualification, acceptance, and safety evidence, ensuring regulatory compliance, while providing clear project updates, implementing recovery actions, and assuring robust, safety‑case‑compliant designs. Core duties: Ensure assets meet functional, performance, safety and regulatory requirements through structured validation activities, evidence review and conformity assessments Manage the end-to-end modification control process, ensuring all changes are assessed, authorised, documents and communicated Develop, maintain and review Through Life Management Plans Conduct asset criticality and risk assessments to identify high risk systems and components, enabling effective prioritisation to support operational continuity and safety Oversee assets from concept and design, through operation, maintenance, modification and disposal, ensuring lifecycle decisions are aligned with organisational, safety and regulatory objectives Essential Skills: HNC minimum or equivalent, with progression toward a degree in an engineering discipline Experience in asset management or a related engineering environment Awareness of Health & Safety requirements and safe working practice The SEA Top Yard Engineering Authority Team: This role offers considerable potential for future growth, with opportunities to broaden responsibility and develop capability as the function and site continue to evolve. You will gain visibility across the whole site, working with a wide range of stakeholders and asset types, providing a unique end‑to‑end view of operations. The position combines asset management and project support, allowing you to contribute where the need is greatest and build a diverse skill set.
