Alecto Recruitment is partnered with a market leader in the Power Generation sector, and together we are searching for an EC&I Technician to be carry out maintenance on the Electrical, Control and instrumentation equipment at their Biomass plant in Norfolk.
Responsibilities and Duties - EC&I Technician
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the EC&I Technician will be responsible for:
Fault finding, installation, and maintenance of electrical systems, instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, and level), and ABB control systems
Calibration and loop checking of instrumentation associated with the site's DCS and control systems
Programming, maintenance, and support of the site's DCS and PLC systems
Maintenance of Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS)
Supporting the development and implementation of plant modifications and improvement projects
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date maintenance records using the site CMMS
Supervising and coordinating on-site contractors when required
Ensuring full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements at all times
Professional Qualifications and Experience
The successful candidate will ideally have:
A recognised Electrical or C&I engineering apprenticeship, preferably within a heavy process or industrial environment
An HNC/ONC (or equivalent) in Electrical or Control & Instrumentation Engineering
Strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance strategies for electrical and control systems
IOSH or NEBOSH certification (desirable)Skills:
Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
Familiar with a number of computer applications.
Good people skills, initiative-taking, flexible and committed attitude.
