Job Summary
This post is a replacement post mainly based at Queen Mary's Hospital for Children on the St. Helier site. Cross-site working is encouraged and may be required. The post holder will help deliver Community Paediatric services for the London Boroughs of Merton and Sutton.
We support a candidate to develop an area of interest that complements the department's work. The role includes providing Designate responsibilities, with no on-call commitments unless desired.
Our services include diagnosis and management of developmental problems such as Global Developmental Delay, Autism assessment in under 5s, Motor Coordination Disorder, Neurodevelopmental disorders, and Neuro-disability, along with SEN and CLA clinics.
The team comprises 4.85 Consultants, 1 Associate Specialist, 2 locum consultants, 3 RCPCH Specialist Trainees, a Clinical Nurse Specialist for epilepsy, a Specialist Nurse in SEN, and a homecare team.

Main duties of the job
* Designate doctor role for CLA and medical adviser for Adoption and Fostering for London Borough of Merton
* Neurodevelopment clinics including assessment of social communication problems such as ASD in under 5s and management of children with complex needs affecting daily living and education
* Supporting educational paediatrics, including preparing reports for EHCNA and medicals for looked after children
* Supporting triaging and supervision of the Neurodevelopment nurse
