Our client is a well-established manufacturing and production company based in Shefford, Bedford. Known for their high-quality products and commitment to operational excellence, they are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Clerk to join their growing finance team.
Job Description
Accounts Payable Clerk
3. Process high-volume supplier invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper authorisation
4. Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery notes
5. Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies
6. Prepare and process weekly and monthly payment runs (BACS)
7. Maintain accounts payable ledgers and vendor records
8. Liaise with suppliers and internal departments to resolve queries promptly
9. Assist with month-end close including accruals and reporting
10. Support with audit requirements and provide documentation as needed
The Successful Applicant
A successful Accounts Payable Manager should have:
11. Studying toward AAT or strong experience
12. Previous experience in an Accounts Payable or Purchase Ledger role, ideally in a manufacturing or production environment
13. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar ERP systems)
14. Strong Excel skills (v-lookups, pivot tables desirable)
15. High level of accuracy and attention to detail
16. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks under pressure
