Join a small and experienced team in the heart of London to produce exciting games for millions of passionate Rick and Morty fans. Big Pixel Studios (a Time Warner company) is on the lookout for a creative and motivated individual to play a major role in the continued success of Pocket Mortys and the development of upcoming titles.
Role
As a generalist, you'll create assets for all aspects of the games and be able to adapt to multiple disciplines. Produce everything from concepts to final production art and marketing materials. Inject humour and fun into sci-fi characters, environments and game assets.
Main Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with the Creative Director and Product Lead on new game concepts and prototypes
2. Create imaginative designs of characters and worlds
3. Brainstorm ideas for content and gameplay features
4. Produce artwork for a range of assets including 2D sprites, UI and animations
5. Define, communicate and ensure the consistency of visual styles
6. Prior experience in graphic design, preferably in the games industry
7. Ability and versatility to work creatively in multiple art styles
8. Strong graphic and UI design skills
9. Ability to create vector art using Adobe Illustrator
10. Strong understanding of common structures in game art
11. Keen awareness of popular culture (especially sci-fi)
12. Animation skills a strong plus
13. Knowledge of 3D art
14. An interest in popular science
15. Fan of pop culture, Rick and Morty, adult humour
