A well-regarded secondary school in Warwick is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join its successful Science Department. This is a full-time, permanent position, suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who are passionate about delivering engaging and high-quality science education. The Science Department is well-resourced with modern laboratories, specialist equipment, and experienced technical support staff, providing an excellent environment for practical and theoretical learning across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. The school promotes collaboration, innovation, and continuous professional development, ensuring staff are supported to develop their practice and contribute to whole-school improvement. The Role The successful candidate will deliver dynamic and engaging Science lessons, encouraging students to explore, question, and develop a deeper understanding of the world around them. Responsibilities include: Planning and delivering high-quality Science lessons aligned with the national curriculum and examination specifications. Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach A-Level depending on experience and specialism. Supporting practical experiments and investigations in line with health and safety regulations. Assessing, monitoring, and reporting on student progress and attainment. Contributing to curriculum development and departmental planning. Supporting enrichment opportunities such as STEM initiatives, clubs, and educational trips. Candidate Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Science (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics specialism welcomed). Excellent classroom management and organisational skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities. Commitment to maintaining high standards of teaching and safeguarding.
