Job Title: Urology Cancer Nurse Specialist
Are you motivated to support patients with urological cancers and improve their care? We are seeking a dedicated Urology Cancer Nurse Specialist to join our team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide support and advice to patients, their families, and carers.
2. Coordinate and navigate supportive care, signposting patients to specialist resources.
3. Collaborate with local care providers and services to ensure holistic, personalized patient support.
4. Act as a conduit between patients and healthcare professionals, ensuring seamless care across the cancer pathway.
5. Work as part of the CNS team, both autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
Qualifications and Skills:
* Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Caring, sensitive attitude towards patients and their families.
* Ability to prioritize workload and work independently.
* Experience in oncology or urology nursing is desirable.
Additional Information:
This is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, funded externally. Secondments must be approved by your current line manager. The role involves close collaboration with the CNS team and other healthcare professionals.
