The Opportunity
EDF EPR Engineering UK (EPR-E) is tasked with delivering the design for several nuclear island (NI) buildings, systems, and equipment contracts for the Hinkley Point C EPR Project. This involves working through an integrated team, supporting HPC construction and commissioning efforts, and preparing design replication feasibility and engineering activities for the Sizewell C Project. A Technical Directorate is being established to oversee the engineering disciplines and technical expertise needed to successfully deliver these projects through EPR-E's integrated teams.

What You'll Be Doing
You will ensure quality assurance in our workshops, verifying that components, materials, and assemblies meet nuclear standards. Your role includes conducting independent inspections at UK vendor premises, performing non-destructive testing, reviewing manufacturing documentation, and managing deviations or non-conformances. Regular travel and overnight stays are expected to engage with diverse teams and environments.
Who You Are
You possess extensive technical skills in mechanical engineering, especially in materials and welding, with experience in manufacturing surveillance and inspection. Your knowledge of nuclear industry regulations, codes, and standards is strong, and you are proficient in reviewing material certifications. You are familiar with ISO 9001 standards, IT tools, and software. Your communication skills are excellent for working with multidisciplinary teams, providing clear technical explanations. You thrive under pressure in complex environments and are committed to quality and deadlines.
