The role of Receptionist (internally know as Customer Services Assistant) in our reception team is based at our Mayfield retirement village in Watford. Mayfield Watford is part of a buzzing residential neighbourhood which includes facilities such as a shop, Bar and Bistro, leisure club and a beautiful riverside park.

This is a Bank (0 hour) we are looking for someone with availability to pick up shifts iver the weekends.

Mayfield villages comprises of owners, who permanently reside on site within their own private homes and who pay a management fee for the upkeep of their properties and access to services on site. In addition the village hosts external customers and this role is responsible for providing a first class, positive experience for all.

The Customer Services Assistant is responsible for ensuring the highest quality of service is provided to all Mayfield customers. This role is highly customer centered and involves regular and diverse communication with both colleagues and owners. The focus is on providing a warm and friendly service and setting a great example for our warm, empathetic and efficient team. Our owners are proud of where they live and you’ll take pride in your work by paying particular attention to the detail for our owners who expect a high level of service. You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in the delivery of regular hospitality events at the village.

Ideal person:

1. Compassion and caring attitude to work
2. Good timekeeping skills
3. Experience of working in a customer facing role
4. Excellent communication and relationship building skills to ensure the guest receive the highest quality of service and customer engagement is high
5. Ability to hold conversations with owners and guests, being attentive to their needs and spot opportunities to upsell
6. Team working to ensure that all restaurant duties are carried out effectively
7. Ability to deal with queries in an efficient and diplomatic way
8. Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
9. Self-motivated and driven by standards
10. Excellent organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and produce creative solutions
11. Hands on and flexible approach in order to be able to carry out a variety of tasks inline with the needs of the village.
