Successful applicants will provide reception and admin services to the patients and medicalprofessionals, working alongside an outstanding team who are constantly striving to providean excellent primary care service.This opportunity is open to full-time hours; however, flexibility is essential. The role(s) will beoffered on a weekly rota basis covering the core hours of 7:45 am 6:30 pm,


Main duties of the job

Management of Appointment System

Ensuring total familiarity with the appointment system including regular and incidental variations.Booking appointments, single point of access requests and recalls; and ensuring sufficient information isrecorded to retrieve medical records. Monitoring the effectiveness of the system and report any problems or variations required. Filtering incoming online AccuRx requests Completing GP responses from the triaging GP, Completing AccuRx online administration requests. Other administration duties as appropriate for the role

We are looking for a highly motivated, energetic, and enthusiasticteam member with excellent communication skills. Your ability to be proactiveand experience of working in a customer care and administrative environmentwill deliver constantly improving levels of service. As a Patient Services Advisor, when dealing with the public, you must be compassionate anddiscreet; with initiative to work effectively alone and efficiently as part ofa team in a very busy, pressurized environment.

You must have excellent IT skills and be a competent user of Word.Importantly, excellent communication and telephone skills coupled with previousreception and administrative skills and experience are essential along with anability to prioritise and multitask.

Experience of working with EMIS our GP clinical system isdesirable, however full training will be provided to the ideal candidates.

PrimaryCare, within which General Practice sits, is evolving all the time and you mustbe able to demonstrate a commitment to cover all the multi-facet rolesundertaken within a dedicated team,


Job responsibilities

Patient services role, either reception based tending to all patient needs, or administration based working behind the scenes with the administration of patients documents letters and referrals system depending on the skills of the candidates.

Qualifications

* GCSE grade A to C equivalent in both English & maths.
