We are looking for a Management Accountant for a 9 Month Day Rate Contract based in Derby on behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs. This will be a Hybrid Working Model with expected travel to the selected office location! Purpose of the role: The Management Accountant will support the Financial Accounting & Reporting (FA&R) team in delivering accurate and timely financial results across General Ledger, reporting, and reconciliation activities. Acting as a key point of contact for designated business areas, the role ensures the smooth delivery of actuals while contributing to finance transformation initiatives and supporting wider Group Finance objectives. What you will be doing: A Global subject matter expert for financial accounting, disclosure notes and finance systems. Deliver timely, accurate and reliable financial information to support the assigned businesses in actuals reporting, in accordance with prescribed service level agreements. Plan, manage and deliver the inter-group process for the assigned businesses. Prepare and review audit and balance sheet schedules, reconciliations and other financial controls in accordance with timetable. Apply knowledge of complex and material foreign exchange entries. Keep up to date on changes to external accounting standards that impact the Group. Enhance internal and external reporting capabilities through providing direction and advice on best practice, and ensure there are sound frameworks, tools and templates for planning and delivery. Maintain Group-wide networks to proactively support stakeholder requirements through interactive two-way dialogue. Represent Rolls-Royce to external parties, including point of contact for external auditors for GBS Finance teams. Apply knowledge of systems and accounting standards to resolve complex and financially material issues such as FX hedge accounting and Transformation programmes. Being key point of contact for Group Finance, Group Treasury and Sector Finance leadership for period-end reporting. Where relevant, coordinate GBS response to new developments, rules or standards and provide technical leadership across Global GBS finance operations teams. Who we are looking for: Month end management accounting exposure within large organisation. Experience of leading teams delivering critical Group-wide services within the GBS Model. A leader, able to effectively communicate and work collaboratively with senior finance leadership to ensure awareness of process obligations in working with a GBS Organisation.
