An exciting opportunity has arisen for a registered Pharmacy Technician to join our friendly, dedicated, and well-established team at Royal Derby Hospital. Our Acute Medicine Team includes experienced Pharmacists and Medicines Management Technicians who work collaboratively to deliver high-quality care.
You will work closely with a range of healthcare professionals to provide ward‑based medicines management and optimisation. This includes medicines reconciliation, patient counselling, and supporting the safe, timely preparation of discharge medicines. Main duties of the job
It is essential for the candidate to be driven and able to cope with the pace and demands that a busy acute medicine service presents.
The team supports personal development and recognises the importance of a work‑life balance. The role consists of shift‑working hours including evenings and weekend commitment.

Person Specification
* GPhC registration or due to qualify in the next 6 months
* Relevant experience in a ward‑based environment
* Evidence of working with members of the public
* Evidence of ability to organise own workload
