About the Role:

This role is ideal for a commercially focused Sales Director looking to step up into a Managing Director position. The successful candidate will have a strong background in selling technical products and managing distribution channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the company’s strategic plan to drive growth and profitability.
- Commercial Focus: Oversee all commercial activities, including sales, marketing, and business development, to expand market share and revenue.
- Distribution Management: Manage and optimise distribution channels to ensure efficient delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the management team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the company’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Operational Excellence: Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness across all departments.
- Client Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, stakeholders, and partners.
- Market Analysis: Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks to ensure business continuity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience: Proven experience as a Sales Director or in a senior commercial role within the manufacturing sector.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to drive performance and achieve targets.
- Technical Knowledge: Experience in selling technical products and managing distribution channels.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen with a track record of driving business growth and profitability.
