Safety Engineer – Air Traffic Management
Apply to join Ebeni Ltd as a Safety Engineer in our Air Traffic Management (ATM) Business Unit. The role supports a variety of projects in airports, air navigation service providers, the Ministry of Defence, regulators, equipment manufacturers and the advanced air mobility and drone domains.
Location
Remote opportunities available with offices in Corsham and Warrington. Occasional travel to client sites may be required.
Overview
As a Safety Engineer you will develop and deliver equipment safety cases for civilian and defence domains, manage safety assurance documents, and engage with key stakeholders to ensure new equipment is safe to enter operational service in accordance with project schedules and regulations.
Responsibilities
* Lead tasks and manage smaller projects while undertaking safety engineering activities defined by Project Safety Plans and Safety Management Systems.
* Identify and create evidence to support system assurance, using safety assessment techniques to trace system safety requirements to implementation and operation.
* Participate in and run hazard identification and risk assessment workshops with customers.
* Develop safety arguments and safety cases to support assurance and certification activities, ensuring evidence is reasonable, well‑constructed and justified.
* Undertake safety analysis by applying appropriate regulatory requirements, legislation, tools and techniques.
* Liaise with system developers, certification bodies, operators, operational engineering, systems engineering and facilities management as necessary.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in safety and risk, ideally within Air Traffic Management, but experience in Defence & Aerospace, Nuclear, Oil & Gas or Rail is also considered.
* Demonstrable experience in applying safety and risk engineering processes to identify hazards and vulnerabilities, author safety cases, assess risk and implement controls.
* Strong ability to build effective working relationships with clients and colleagues, and to communicate across all levels of the organization.
* Attention to detail and the ability to work methodically with complex situations.
