Role: Finance Assistant Type: Maternity Cover 12 months Location: Hybrid - 3 days office based (Belfast) Were seeking a talented and motivatedFinancial Assistant to join our team on amaternity cover contract. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong financial administration experience who enjoys variety, responsibility, and working in a collaborative environment. Youll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations while supporting day-to-day office management activities. The Role In this role, youll be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial processes. Working closely with the Finance team and Directors, youll handle everything from daily transactions to month-end reconciliations, supporting informed decision-making across the business. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and maintainingfinancial records, including sales and purchase invoices, expense reports, and reconciliations Managingaccounts payable and receivable processes across multiple regions Uploading and generating invoices, processingdirect debit collections, and reconciling payments Supportingdebt recovery activity and maintaining strong client communication Assisting withfinancial reporting, including monthly accounts, forecasts, and budgeting Performingmonth-end reconciliations and assisting with cross-system data checks Providing administrative support for theFinance function and wider business as required Supportingfacilities and office coordination, including supplier liaison, scheduling, and event arrangements What Were Looking For Were looking for a finance professional who combines accuracy with initiative someone who takes ownership, spots opportunities for improvement, and enjoys supporting both people and processes. Proven experience in afinance or accounting support role Strong understanding ofaccounts payable, receivable, and reconciliations Excellent proficiency inMicrosoft Excel and financial systems Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail Strong communication skills and confidence liaising with clients and colleagues A proactive, adaptable approach with the ability to work independently AAT qualification or equivalent experience (advantageous) About You Youll thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy problem-solving, and take pride in keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes.
