Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – Solution Architect

Overview
We are seeking a technically strong and detail-oriented Solution Architect to lead the technical design and architecture of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central solutions. This role is central to ensuring that all Sci-Net solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with best practice – combining your deep product knowledge with a hands-on ability to shape solutions across SaaS, on-premise, and verticalised IP environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Design end-to-end technical solutions for new and existing customers, including vertical IP extensions (ERP>Retail, ERP>Trade).
* Translate business and functional requirements into robust technical architectures across Business Central, Power Platform, and Azure.
* Define integration strategies with external systems using APIs, OData, and Web Services.
* Work with the development team to ensure code quality, performance optimisation, and AL extensibility best practices.
* Review customer environments and provide technical guidance on upgrades, migrations, and cloud optimisation.
* Collaborate with Presales and Product teams to validate solution feasibility during early-stage engagements.
* Oversee DevOps processes, Git version control, and release management pipelines.
1. What We're Looking For
* Deep technical knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (AL development, SaaS architecture, on-premise setups).
* Experience designing solutions across multiple industries with complex workflows and integrations.
* Hands-on experience with Azure services, Microsoft Power Platform, and ISV integrations.
* Ability to produce solution design documents, architecture diagrams, and technical documentation.
* Strong understanding of performance tuning, data modelling, and scalability considerations.
* Experience guiding development teams and reviewing code for best practice.
* Comfortable working with multiple stakeholders across technical and non-technical domains.
