We require demonstrable experience in Microsoft 365 and Azure administration, troubleshooting, and solution design. We require strong experience in networking, including configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure. We require experience configuring and managing both hardware and software firewalls. We require strong Windows Server administration, troubleshooting, and optimisation experience. We require proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex, multi-layered technical issues. We require at least one Microsoft expert-level certification, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, or equivalent. We require strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences. We require the ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions. We require a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and knowing when to involve external resources or vendor support. We require willingness to travel to client sites across the North West, North Wales, and surrounding regions. We require a full UK driving licence. Responsibilities: We act as a final escalation point for complex technical issues across networking, Microsoft 365/Azure, firewalls, and server infrastructure. We design, plan, and implement infrastructure projects for clients from initial scoping through to deployment. We build strong client relationships and translate business needs into effective technical solutions. We work closely with 1st, 2nd, and other 3rd line engineers to share knowledge and direct resources efficiently. We contribute to internal process improvements, technical standards, and security posture enhancements. We participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota to provide emergency support when needed. We provide hands-on support in the office and on client sites, with occasional work-from-home flexibility. We support continuous learning and help develop expertise across advanced Microsoft 365 and Azure, Network, and cybersecurity specialisms. This is a hands-on role with varied projects, modern tooling and equipment, occasional work-from-home flexibility, and an on-call rota of 1 week in 8 with additional pay when called.
