Overview
Band 7 Cognitive Behavioural Therapist in the 0-25 yrs Specialist Eating Disorders Service and ARFID pathway (Forward Thinking Birmingham/CYP Division). The post is suitable for individuals who hold a CBT diploma/Masters qualification and are accredited with the BABCP. The post holder will provide specialist CBT intervention and contribute to the assessment, formulation and delivery of evidence-based psychological treatments for young people with eating disorders including ARFID. Applicants with experience of working with children and young people, with Eating Disorders, Autism and ARFID are preferred, with training available to develop skills in these areas. You will be part of a multi-professional team with access to support, guidance and opportunities for learning and development from within SEDS and the wider organisation."
Responsibilities
* Provide specialist CBT intervention for children and young people with eating disorders (including ARFID).
* Contribute to assessment, formulation, and delivery of evidence-based psychological treatments (individual and group).
* Work as part of a multidisciplinary team, with opportunities for learning and developing clinical skills in a multilevel and integrated service provision.
* Address complex mental health and behavioral needs, supporting service users and their families within the community setting.

Qualifications & Experience
Essential
* A specialist post-graduate qualification in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (MSc or Post Graduate Diploma).
* Accredited or working towards accreditation with BABCP.
* Registered health or social care qualification (e.g., RMN, OT, Social Worker) for Band 6; or Accreditation with BABCP for Band 7.
Desirable
* Additional qualifications in an accredited therapy; training in Clinical Supervision (e.g., specialist Clinical Supervision Module).
Experience
* Relevant post-registration experience in mental health services.
* Experience working with children and young people, assessing, planning, coordinating, and supporting them; experience with complex mental health needs.
* Skills and knowledge in using specific assessments and outcome measures (desirable).
Personal
* Commitment to personal development, self-reflection and supervision.
* Flexible approach to meeting service needs; positive attitude to working with this client group.
* Interest in working with people with eating disorders and ARFID (desirable).
