Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and motivated midwife to take on a clinical and managerial leadership role within the Triage and Induction of Labour Suite at Aberdeen Maternity Hospital.
Responsibilities
* Play a key role in driving service improvement, working closely with the Moray Collaborative Project Team on implementation of the single telephone triage line and the Birmingham Symptom‑Specific Obstetric Triage System (BSOTS).
* Lead and support the team in preparation for the move to Baird Family Hospital, where services will transition into new clinical areas, separating Induction of Labour work from telephone and face‑to‑face triage.
* Ensure a smooth transition and embedding of services through strong leadership.
* Maintain a consistent clinical presence and visibility within the team, demonstrating knowledgeable leadership, clear vision, and a commitment to high‑quality, safe, patient‑centred care.
* Manage operational flow and timely decision‑making across the service using bleep holding an integral component of the post.
* Contribute to ongoing service development as an enthusiastic, forward‑thinking individual.
