Overview
Field Sales Engineer. An experienced sales engineer is required to join an innovation led, engineering solutions provider. Primarily in the areas of electro-pneumatic, pneumatic valves, sensors and controls for manufacturing & production machinery automation applications within most manufacturing environments. Sectors include food & beverage, automotive, aerospace, process & industrial, FMCG, pharma.
This is a proactive technical sales role, selling premium products incorporated into innovation solutions for control & automation, waste reduction, to leading manufacturers. It involves generating new business opportunities and selling solutions to engineering managers rather than boxed products on price.
Responsibilities
* Cover South East region and sell engineering solutions to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support automation
* Book and manage own appointments with Engineering Managers, MDs, Procurement Managers
* Account management and self-generated new business sales, following up enquiries
* Sell to existing and new customers throughout the territory
* Support existing customer base
* Identify opportunities for new solutions and work with engineering teams and suppliers to develop them
* Demonstrate genuinely that you are seeking a field sales position and are willing to do extensive new business
Qualifications / Requirements
* Engineering qualified; engineering graduate, HNC or apprentice trained - Electrical or Mechanical
* Field sales experience and new business expertise
* Internal sales engineer willing to move to a field based role would be considered
* Full driving licence
