Our Northwest Trunk Road Unit spans over 1,422km of roadways, stretching from the rugged beauty of Thurso and Wick in the far north, down to the coastal charm of Campbeltown in Argyll and Bute. It connects communities from Uig on the Isle of Skye to the historic cities of Perth and Stirling, offering a unique opportunity to work across a landscape that’s as diverse as it is inspiring.
We have a vacancy in our Fleet team for an Assistant Fleet Manager, to be based in our Perth office. You will report to the Fleet Manager you will assist in all aspects of Fleet activities. This will include visiting all depots within the North West contract to carry out vehicle inspections, driver hours and working time directive checks, monitor pre use checks and carry out gate checks.
Roles and Responsibilities:
1. Ensure compliance.
2. Programme and book PMIs, MOTs and vehicle equipment checks and tests, process and file records.
3. Monitor pre use checks, repairs and servicing
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
4. Knowledge of or hold CPC in Road haulage, or be willing to work towards
5. Knowledge of transport law
6. Highway Maintenance experience
7. Category B driving licence.
