One Leisure St Neots is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Recreation Assistant. The role will deliver and support the One Leisure corporate and site-specific systems, procedures and programmes to ensure a quality customer experience and exceptional service both within the poolside environment and the dryside leisure centre.
You will primarily work as a lifeguard but will also assist at reception, in the gym and throughout the leisure centre.
Responsibilities

* Work primarily as a lifeguard and assist at reception, in the gym and throughout the leisure centre.
Qualifications and requirements
* Experience as a lifeguard is ideal; training can be provided to the right candidate.
* Additional qualification training in pool plant operations and first aid; optional training in swimming teaching or fitness instructing.
* If no Lifeguard qualification is held, complete the following swimming competency test before interview:
o Swim 50m in less than 1 minute; swim 100m continuously on your front, then 100m on your back
o Tread water in deep water for more than 30 seconds
o Surface dive to the deepest part of the pool
o Climb out of the pool unaided
* Role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
* Right to work in the UK required; Huntersdonshire District Council does not hold a Sponsorship Licence and cannot provide a CoS or sponsorship.
* DBS check and safeguarding considerations as part of the recruitment process.
