MEICA Engineering Manager
Location: Skelmersdale
Salary: Up to £73k plus company car / car allowance
Contract: Full time, Permanent

We are seeking a MEICA Manager to lead and support both clean and wastewater projects.
In this role, you will drive business development, provide pre-construction support, and cultivate strong client relationships.
You will be responsible for generating and converting enquiries, supporting tender processes, and ensuring the safe, efficient, and profitable delivery of secured MEICA schemes.

What you’ll be doing:
You will be responsible for establishing and growing Stonbury’s MEICA capability across our existing framework agreements.
In addition to this, you will be responsible for:
• Leading and growing MEICA opportunities, building strong senior relationships across the water sector.
• Developing and delivering the MEICA Business Plan.
• Generating and qualifying enquiries to maintain a robust pipeline, representing Stonbury at key industry events.
• Providing market insight on trends, competitors, frameworks and emerging technologies.
• Leading or supporting MEICA tenders, including scope, methodology, programmes, risk and value engineering.
• Supporting pre-qualification and framework submissions, showcasing MEICA expertise and innovation.
• Overseeing MEICA delivery on projects (£100k–£5m), working closely with civils and refurbishment teams.
• Ensuring projects meet safety, quality, budget, programme and regulatory requirements (WIMES, BS EN, water company specs).
• Line-managing and develop the MEICA team as it grows.
• Managing MEICA suppliers and subcontractors for capability and commercial performance.
• Ensuring compliance with CDM 2015, electrical/machinery regulations and industry standards.
• Producing accurate reporting on pipeline, bids, project performance, risks and opportunities.
In order to be successful in this role you must have:
• Extensive experience in managing and delivering MEICA projects in the water sector
• Proven ability to develop client relationships and win work: generating opportunities, leading bids and converting tenders/frameworks into profitable projects.
• Appropriate Level 5 qualification or IEng registration.
• Demonstrable experience leading multidisciplinary teams (internal and supply chain) to safely deliver complex MEICA schemes on time and within budget.
• Experience of pre-construction processes: defining scope, supporting tenders, building programmes, and identifying delivery risks and opportunities.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements for MEICA works, including RAMS, CPPs, temporary works and safe isolation procedures.
• Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder-management skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Full driving licence.
