Job Overview
Due to our practice expansion, we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Nurse to join our newly established referral practice team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients while supporting the team in delivering exceptional service. This position requires a blend of clinical skills, empathy, and a passion for animal welfare.
Duties
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian.
- Monitor anaesthesia and post-operative recovery of patients.
- Conduct laboratory tests and assist with diagnostic imaging.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
-Assist with administrative tasks such as insurance claims.
- Ensure cleanliness and organisation of the clinic environment.
- Assist in the management of inventory, including ordering supplies as needed
Experience
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures and equipment is advantageous.
* Experience in theatre for lengthy procedures would be an advantage but all training will be given.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with team members and pet owners.
* A compassionate approach towards animals and their owners is crucial for success in this role.
