About the Role
We are seeking an exceptionally experienced Security Architect to join a major transformation programme in the financial services sector. This is a hands-on, strategic role that involves shaping cloud security architecture, influencing senior stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with strict regulatory and risk frameworks across European jurisdictions.
Youll be at the forefront of enterprise-scale cloud initiatives, working on modern, high-impact platforms and helping build secure, resilient systems in one of the most tightly regulated industries in the world.

Key Responsibilities Define and lead the enterprise-wide cloud security architecture strategy.
Act as a trusted security advisor to senior leadership and engineering teams.
Guide the design and integration of secure solutions across applications, infrastructure, and data platforms.
Perform threat modelling, architecture reviews, and propose mitigation strategies.
Ensure alignment with European regulatory standards (e.g., GDPR, PSD2, DORA, NIS2).
Embed DevSecOps into SDLC and CI/CD pipelines using IaC and automation tools.
Drive adoption of Zero Trust principles, secure APIs, container security, and logging strategies.
What Were Looking For 15+ years in Information Security, with 78 years in Security Architecture roles.
5+ years of hands-on cloud security experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP multi-cloud preferred).
In-depth understanding of financial services compliance requirements and frameworks (e.g., NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CSA CCM, PCI DSS).
Expert-level knowledge of IAM, network security, encryption, API and application security, container security, and SIEM strategies.
Proven leadership in DevSecOps practices and securing modern development pipelines.
Certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, TOGAF, or equivalents are highly desirable.
