Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a well-established business in Leeds who are looking to appoint a Senior Payroll Assistant on a 6 month fixed term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive finance function and play a key role in delivering accurate, end-to-end payroll processing.
Reporting into the Payroll manager you will be responsible for supporting the full payroll process and ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time.
Senior Payroll Assistant
Key responsibilities will include:
* End-to-end payroll processing for a varied employee base
* Processing starters, leavers, and changes to employee records
* Calculating statutory payments including SSP, SMP, and other deductions
* Ensuring payroll data is accurate and compliant with relevant legislation
* Responding to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders
* Supporting with reporting and payroll administration as required
About You
* Previous experience in a payroll-focused role
* Comfortable with end-to-end payroll processing
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
* Confident using payroll systems and Excel
* A proactive and reliable team player
