Job Description
Cell Biology Leader // Immunology // Oxford
Do you think you have what it takes to develop and lead a team discovering drugs targeting the non-coding regions of the genome?
Why did you pursue a career in biotech? Was it to uncover new ways of helping patients?
We are on the look-out for a Cell Biology Leader with an expertise in immunology who is looking to manage a world class team of cell and preclinical biologists developing therapeutics targeting the dark genome. This is an extremely visible role reporting directly to the CSO. As the leader of the preclinical team you will shape the careers of highly promising young scientists while having a great opportunity to develop your own career.
The dark genome holds more than 90% of disease-linked genetic variants, you'll be joining a biotech with the unique ability to identify new druggable targets downstream of these variants. This totally untapped field of druggable targets has the potential to revolutionise patient care for people suffering from diseases of real unmet need. You will lead projects from validating these targets, to all the way through preclinical development to IND.
To decode the dark genome is no small feat – the data you generate will be directly fed into their powerful proprietary AI platform, a tool you won’t have access to anywhere else!
If you are the right person for this exciting opportunity you will have demonstrable understanding of the principles and practice of early drug discovery in industry and first-hand experience leading preclinical teams - including cell biologists and immunologists. Apply here or by reaching out with your CV to isaac@singulartalent.io
We look forward to hearing from you.
