Part‑Time circa 15 hours per week (job share considered). Contract: Fixed Term (approx. 6 months). Salary: Dependent on experience.
The Surgery @ Aylestone is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Manager to provide maternity cover for approximately 6 months. This is an excellent opportunity for a capable individual to lead a small, supportive primary care team, ensuring the smooth running of the practice and delivery of high‑quality patient care.
Main Duties
* Oversee the day‑to‑day operational management of the practice
* Ensure compliance with CQC and NHS contractual requirements
* Support and lead the practice team
* Manage HR processes including rota coordination and staff support
* Oversee financial and administrative functions
* Maintain and improve patient services and experience
* Liaise with external stakeholders including PCN, LMC and IC S

Qualifications
Essential
* Strong organisational and leadership skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to manage workload independently
Desirable
* Experience in primary care or healthcare management
* Knowledge of NHS systems and processes
* Familiarity with SystmOne and Accurx
