This part-time specialist oncology dietetic post at Chesterfield Royal Hospital is one of two new positions, as the Trust has provided substantive funding following the previous full-time post funded for two years by Macmillan.
This is an exciting opportunity for a Dietitian with significant NHS experience and experience working with individuals living with and beyond cancer to develop the nutrition and dietetic cancer services. The Trust currently employs a part-time Oncology specialist and a head and neck specialist Dietitian. This post will utilize previous scoping work to shape services for other types of cancer treated at Chesterfield Royal Hospital and provide highly specialised nutrition and dietetic services.
The post holders will work alongside a team of 25 staff, including Dietitians, a Nutrition Support Nurse, Dietitian Assistants, and Administrative staff.
While all nutrition and dietetic services across North Derbyshire are provided at locations based on individual needs, the team is employed by and based at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. The Trust supports remote and home working where appropriate.
