Registered Manager – Residential Care Home

Location: Martinstown, Dorchester, Dorset

Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 per annum + performance-related bonus (based on occupancy)

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week (9am–5pm, flexible working available)

Registered Manager to lead our dedicated team and ensure the continued delivery of outstanding care.

Role Overview

The Registered Manager will be responsible for the overall management and performance of the home. This includes ensuring full compliance with regulatory standards, promoting best practices in care, supporting staff development, and maintaining a safe and nurturing environment for residents.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and manage the daily operations of the home in line with CQC regulations and standards
* Ensure delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to all residents
* Develop, review, and oversee individualised care plans
* Support and supervise staff, encouraging ongoing training and professional growth
* Manage occupancy levels and oversee budget performance
* Liaise effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies
* Ensure robust medication management and health & safety protocols
* Handle recruitment, inductions, appraisals, and team development
* Foster a positive culture within the home, promoting dignity, respect, and choice

Requirements

* Previous experience in a management role within a residential or nursing care setting
* Strong understanding of CQC requirements and proven track record in compliance
* Solid knowledge of dementia and elderly care
* NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care (or equivalent)
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
* Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of care
