Our Work Experience Week enables you to get hands-on with real projects that enhance wildlife and restore habitats. From exploring nature reserves to learning how we care for species and ecosystems, you’ll discover the skills and careers that make a difference for our planet. This is your chance to experience life behind the scenes at a locally based wildlife organisation. Giving you a chance to play your part in creating a greener future. We will be offering three separate dates for work experience this year. So please ensure that you apply to the correct work experience placement by checking the date on the title. Date 1: 11th- 14th May 2026 You will be invited for an afternoon induction 1: 7th May 2026 4pm – 5:30pm There are 5 placement opportunities for this date. Date 2: 11th- 15th May 2026 This is part of our Allestree Park programme and there are 20 placement opportunities for this date at Allestree Park, Derby. Applications for this date will be closed on 20th March 2026. Date 3: 22nd- 25th June 2026 You will be invited for an afternoon induction 2: 18th June 2026 4pm – 5:30pm There are 5 placement opportunities for this date. Applications for this date will be closed on 24th April 2026. As well as selecting the right date for you, we encourage you to consider your location when expressing an interest in our work experience programme as you will be expected to accommodate your travel to and from Sandy Hill, Main Street, Middleton, Matlock, DE4 4LR. We have a high volume of requests for our work experience placements, and we regret we are unable to accept more than five students per week.
