An opportunity has arisen for a permanent Infection Prevention and Control Nurse/Practitioner. We are a small, proactive and dynamic team with a high profile within the Trust.
Preventing healthcare associated infection remains a high priority within the Trust and in the public domain. The team at the Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a full infection control nursing service within the main Kings Mill acute general hospital, Newark Hospital, and Mansfield community hospitals.
We would be willing to offer an Annex 21 position which would provide further support and in depth training.
• Collaborative Support: Work alongside our Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) team to offer expert guidance to Trust staff.
• Shared Workload: Partner with our Infection Control Nursing/Practitioner team to manage infection control tasks effectively.
• Focused Oversight: Take charge of designated clinical areas and audits within the infection control service.
• Policy Management: Ensure our infection prevention and control policies are current and rigorously followed through regular audits.
• Staff Engagement: Collaborate closely with staff to demonstrate best practices in infection control.
• Educational Leadership: Provide essential education and training to enhance staff knowledge and compliance.
• Project Management: Lead and manage relevant projects to continuously improve our infection control measures.
