Realistic earnings over £40, per annum. Working permanent day shifts with early finishes on Fridays, regular overtime available paid at 1.5 and 33 days holiday. Due to a growing order book we are looking to speak to a skilled CNC miller with a proven track record within their industry. CAD/CAM experience is not essential but would be a distinct advantage. The right candidate could follow a progression path into a programming role.
Based in Halifax, the successful candidate will easily be able to commute from Oldham, Rochdale, Huddersfield, Bradford, Wakefield and Leeds.
Key responsibilities of the CNC Miller will include:
1. Interpret technical drawings and specifications to manufacture components to given spec.
2. Perform tool changes, fixture adjustments, and machine offsets to ensure precise and efficient machining processes.
3. Monitor machine operations and conduct regular quality checks to verify the accuracy and consistency of the produced components.
4. Collaborate with the engineering and production teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve overall efficiency.
For the CNC Miller role, we are keen to receive applications from individuals who possess:
5. Ideally a recognised Apprenticeship within Mechanical Engineering, Machining or similar (NVQ Level 3 or higher) – this is not essential
6. Worked as a CNC Miller, Machinist, Programmer, Engineer or Technician previously within a precision engineering or machine shop environment
7. The ability of independently programming using ISO or conversational controls
Working Hours of the CNC Miller:
Standard day shift – 40 hours per week.
8. Monday to Thursday – 07:30AM – 17:30PM
9. Friday – 07:30AM – 11:30PM
In return the CNC Miller will receive:
10. Renumeration: Up to £36, per annum (£18 per hour)
11. Genuine progression opportunities. CAD/CAM, programming etc
12. Overtime: Regularly available and paid at 1.5 – usually 6+ hours available midweek and on Saturday AM
13. Holiday Entitlement: 33 Days
14. Company Pension Scheme (enrolled after 3 months)
