Pimlico Academy is seeking an exceptional and ambitious Head of Computer Science to lead a high-performing department into its next phase of growth and innovation. This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and passionate practitioner to shape the strategic direction of Computer Science within a highly successful London academy.
As Head of Computer Science, you will:
* Provide strategic leadership for the department, building on strong foundations and driving continuous improvement
* Lead curriculum development in line with Trust-wide curriculum principles and national developments
* Use assessment and data intelligently to secure excellent student outcomes across all key stages
* Line manage and develop staff through coaching, performance management, and high-quality CPD
* Champion Computer Science across the Academy and contribute to whole-school priorities
* Promote high standards of teaching, learning, behaviour, and inclusion within the department
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Qualified Teacher Status and a relevant degree
* Proven experience as an excellent classroom practitioner
* Demonstrable experience of leading, managing, and developing staff
* Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Computer Science education
* A flexible, reflective, and forward-thinking approach to leadership
* A clear commitment to safeguarding, professionalism, and high expectations
