Job Title Project Supervisor Reports To Managing Director Location Office and Site Based (Travel Required) Role Purpose The Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day delivery of projects, ensuring works are completed safely, on time, to the required quality standards, and within budget. The role acts as the key link between clients, contractors, suppliers, and installation teams to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and professionally. The Project Supervisor will monitor site activities, coordinate labour and materials, maintain quality standards, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Project Delivery Supervise projects from commencement through to completion. Carry out pre-install visits, reporting back any possible issues. Responsible to managing the teams, ensuring they work to comply Standard Operating procedures Coordinate site activities and installation teams to ensure works are delivered according to programme. Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues that may impact delivery. Ensure projects are completed in accordance with specifications, drawings, and client requirements. Attend site meetings and provide regular project updates to management. Quality Control Ensure all works are carried out to company quality standards and industry best practices. Conduct site inspections and quality checks throughout the project. Identify and rectify defects or non-conforming works. Manage project snagging and ensure timely completion of outstanding items. Health & Safety Promote a strong health and safety culture across all projects. Ensure compliance with company policies, risk assessments, method statements, and relevant legislation. Carry out site inspections and report any health and safety concerns. Ensure all operatives and subcontractors work safely and follow site procedures. Resource Management Coordinate labour, plant, materials, and subcontractors. Ensure materials are available on site when required. Monitor productivity and resource utilisation. Liaise with suppliers regarding deliveries and material requirements. Client & Stakeholder Management Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders. Act as the primary site contact for clients during project delivery. Manage client expectations and communicate project progress effectively. Resolve site issues professionally and collaboratively. Commercial Awareness Assist in monitoring project costs and budgets. Identify variations, additional works, and potential cost impacts. Support the preparation of project reports and completion documentation. Ensure accurate records of labour, materials, and site activities are maintained. Skills & Experience Essential Experience supervising construction, surfacing, landscaping, or civil engineering projects. Understanding of groundworks Strong understanding of site operations and project delivery. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Full UK Driving Licence. Desirable Experience within resin bound surfacing, hard landscaping, groundworks or external works. SMSTS or SSSTS qualification. CSCS Card. Knowledge of project management software.
