Maintenance Leader
Summary:
In this high impact role, you will own the strategy and execution of all maintenance activities across the site, driving reliability, safety, and performance in a complex manufacturing environment. You’ll lead predictive and preventive maintenance programs, corrective work, capital and modification projects, and facilities maintenance across mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
As a key leader on the operations team, you’ll optimize resources, elevate maintenance planning and documentation standards, and champion technical and continuous improvement initiatives that directly influence uptime, cost, and productivity. Just as important, you’ll mentor and lead a skilled maintenance organization, fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring the plant operates reliably, efficiently, and safely every day.
Responsibilities Include:
1. Manage and drive EHS culture by leading the maintenance team and emphasizing on corporate EHS policy and culture. To actively and effectively participate in EH&S activities, best practices initiation/sharing as well as drive continuous improvement in EHS.
2. To lead maintenance team members in order to achieve the optimized maintenance planning and enable high performance Operations consistent with plant management strategy.
3. To identify and drive need based development plan for the maintenance team.
4. To drive plant predictive/preventive maintenance planning, scheduling as well as safe execution. This should be done in cost effective manner without compromising on safety as well as quality goal.
5. To drive plant reliability by constantly reviewing corrective maintenance data and effectiveness of predictive/preventive maintenance program (by using various tools – RCA,RBM, RCM, FMEA, etc. and inspection techniques – oil analyses, other NDT).
6. To drive and execute need based facility related maintenance.
7. To ensure all maintenance information ( equipment history records and fault reports) is accurately and promptly updated and maintained.
8. To ensure maintenance department related KPIs are tracked closely in order to find improvement opportunities.
9. To ensure support and compliance to work process related to Management System(ISO 9001), MOC, procurement process and related corporate requirements.
10. To support, work and align with cross functional departments in order to achieve company goal.
11. To oversee projects / maintenance works and liaise with contractors to ensure work is carried out safely, smoothly and according to schedule
12. To ensure optimal maintenance store management via supporting Procurement process by keeping close focus in cost reduction without compromising safety or quality
13. To review design, replace and install new equipment.
14. To drive TPM related activity in the department
15. To identify, priorities and execute improvement ideas in various technical, energy saving projects, spare part strategy, introduction of new vendors, contractors, contractor scopes and etc
Qualifications:
The following are required for the role
16. BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical engineering qualifications with 8+ years industry experience
17. Experience with rotating equipment and hydraulics
18. Full UK driving license.
19. Strong electrical standards background
20. Strong computer / IT skills (Microsoft Office, SAP, IT-Network, Telecommunication, etc.)
21. Strong leadership and analytical skills
22. Preventative focus and understanding of reliability
23. Digitized tracking of activities
24. Experience coordinating with outside contractors to assist with equipment repair
25. Knowledge of apprenticeship/mentorship
26. Project management experience
The following are preferred for the role
27. Health & Safety, Manual Handling, First Aid or any other qualifications relating to operations within the engineering environment.
28. Candidates from chemical, polymer, or elastomer manufacturing
29. MEWP and/or FLT
