Delegated Authority Specialist
An excellent opportunity has arisen to join our centralised Facilities Operations Team providing operational support, technical input and governance to assist with business cases, technical pre‑screening, establishing and monitoring all new and renewing line slips and binders across the GB business unit.
Responsibilities
* Ensure each facility is set‑up and compliant using current binder and MRC standards.
* Review each facility to confirm it provides efficiencies upstream in the broking teams and downstream into operations, including claims and accounting.
* Provide operational support for the renewal and ongoing management of facilities.
* Set up and renew master facilities to current market standards.
* Ensure facilities and markets are set up in the Eclipse operating system.
* Support business units in developing business cases for new and renewing facilities.
* Oversee preparation of premium and risk written bordereaux.
* Administer mid‑term adjustments to market standards.
* Prepare management information for governance groups, business units and carriers.
* Maintain facility catalogue and tracker.
* Resolve queries from internal and external parties.
* Work closely with business units to provide guidance and advice on changes impacting delegated authority contracts and MRC line slips.
* Conduct technical pre‑screening checks to gauge and improve efficiencies of new and renewing facilities before governance review.
* Collate information to support business case development.
* Provide the latest draft Binding Authority Agreement / Coverholder Appointment Agreement (BAA/CAA) and Line Slip MRC wordings.
* Final review of marketed BAA/CAA/Line Slips.
* Register the facility on internal and external registers.
* Collate data for mid‑term adjustments and prepare endorsements for the market agreement.
* Ensure creation and submission of risk written and premium bordereaux per contract.
* Provide quarterly management information on facility performance for carriers.
* Coordinate with 3rd‑party cover holders to ensure effective set‑up and management.
* Resolve facility‑related queries with stakeholders, wider WTW, carriers and auditors.
Qualifications
* Facility handling experience desirable; open to insurance professionals seeking career development.
* Strong numeracy and literacy skills.
* Working knowledge of MS Office applications.
* Attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships across the business.
* Enjoy working within a team environment while also demonstrating the ability to work autonomously.
