About the role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of daily warehouse operations. The position involves a range of responsibilities that require accuracy, organisation, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
Daily duties include picking and packing products, using handheld scanners to process items, and documenting completed work accurately. You will also be responsible for raising any issues to the team leader or supervisor and ensuring all tasks are completed within required timeframes.
The role requires you to self-manage your workload effectively while supporting colleagues and assisting other departments where necessary. Additional associated warehouse tasks may also be required as part of the role.
Benefits include training and development programmes to support personal progression, an excellent on-site culture, and the security of permanent employment.
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 10am–6pm, with every other Saturday 8am–4pm. Bank Holidays are required, with a day off given in lieu. The starting pay rate is £12.71 per hour, with an increase expected after the 12-week probation period.
About you
To be successful in this Warehouse Operative role, you must have prior experience working in a warehouse environment, as this is a crucial requirement. You should be confident in prioritising tasks and managing your own workload to meet deadlines.
Due to limited public transport access, you must have your own car and a valid driving licence.
A positive, can-do attitude is essential, along with a commitment to always doing the right thing rather than the easiest option. You should be a strong team player who is willing to support colleagues and assist other departments when required.
