📍 Manchester (Hybrid – 2 days per week in office)
We’re supporting an industry-leading credit ratings organisation in hiring a Security Architect to join their Information Security leadership team.
This is a senior, hands-on architecture role where you’ll take ownership of complex security design challenges, influence enterprise control posture, and shape how security is embedded across modern cloud and identity-driven environments.
The role
You’ll lead both tactical and strategic security architecture initiatives, ensuring emerging technologies are designed and implemented securely while keeping senior stakeholders aligned.
Responsibilities
* Designing and implementing security control sets for emerging technologies.
* Owning third-party security assessments and driving remediation through technology teams.
* Reviewing target architectures across applications, networks, and identity platforms.
* Contributing to security standards, metrics, and monitoring use-case design.
* Optimising security workflows using AI, automation, and modern delivery tooling.
Qualifications
* Strong experience assessing and designing enterprise security architectures.
* Deep understanding of AWS, Azure, and identity platforms.
* Expertise in OAuth, OIDC, and modern access control design.
* Strong knowledge of adversary techniques, with offensive security exposure highly desirable.
* Proven threat modelling capability and pragmatic risk assessment skills.
* Automation and scripting experience (Python, Go, PowerShell).
* Familiarity with ISO 27001, NIST, and SOC 2 frameworks.
